Travel to SENS3

Here is a map of Cambridge showing the bus and train stations; Queens' is on Silver Street, very close to the site marked "C".

Here is a map of central Cambridge showing the locations of most of the colleges.

The nearest major airport to Cambridge is Stansted. Jetlink buses run hourly between the airport and the centre of Cambridge. They take about 50 minutes, as does the hourly train service.

Almost as close to Cambridge, and with good direct services from some places in Europe, is Luton. Jetlink buses run hourly between the airport and the centre of Cambridge. They take about an hour.

Cambridge can be reached by train in about two hours from either of London's two largest airports, Heathrow and Gatwick, Train travel from Heathrow is by London Underground (Piccadilly Line) to King's Cross, followed by a direct train to Cambridge. From Gatwick, take a Thameslink train to King's Cross Thameslink (about 200 yards from King's Cross). There is also an hourly bus service; this takes about three and a half hours from Gatwick or two and a half from Heathrow.

Finally, some European cities have connections to London City Airport. From London City Airport the best way is to get the blue shuttlebus to Liverpool Street train station (about 30 minutes duration). There are direct trains from Liverpool Street to Cambridge.

For those staying in London before or after the conference, it may be more convenient to take a bus from Victoria station.

Taxis are readily available from Cambridge train and bus stations; a taxi to Queens' College costs about five pounds.

Cars can be hired at all the above airports or in Cambridge, but please be aware that parking near the conference is very limited. There is no parking space at the college.
